Opus Dei Life I

Opus Dei Life:   “Holy Journey by Two Devout Roman Catholics...”

Authored by Charles A. Fisher and Daniel H. Winter

“A Work in Progress, Never to be Completed!”

This web site will emphasize the true impact Opus Dei has on our daily lives. In addition, how much we have come to realize that our lives are much fuller and that we are able to grow even closer to God and Our Divine Savior.

Opus Dei has instilled an ongoing marvelous and permanent impact on each one of our lives, and, as we strive always to be closer to Christ, we are drawn even closer to our Roman Catholic Church. Opus Dei and our Catholic Faith are inseparably and clearly intertwined. Saint Josemaria is a continued example of true discipleship and complete devotion to Christ. In life and in death!

The Roman Catholic Church is the continuation of the proclamation of Jesus Christ when he first established His visible Church, (as revealed in The New Testament,
Matthew 16:19), at the very moment in recorded time He gave “the Keys to the Kingdom” to the Apostle Peter, (the First Pope), and in full view of, and in direct communion with His other Apostles. Therefore, proclaiming Peter as the very visible head of His Church, and He proclaimed further that Peter would be the first to receive distinct, direct, and definitive Apostolic and authoritative powers ahead of the other Apostles.

“And I will give to thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt bind upon earth, it shall be bound also in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose upon earth, it shall be loosed also in heaven.” Matthew 16:19  (The Holy Bible: Douay-Rheims Translation.)

Opus Dei (in English, the Work of God), was established in Spain by Saint Josemaria Escriva on October 2, 1928. On February 14, 1930 he understood that he must open up the apostolic work of Opus Dei to women also. Saint Josemaria was truly a gift from God to God’s people, and his life was completely devoted to daily conversion and countless great apostolic works!

As this site expands and continues to emphasize the personal daily relationships the authors always encounter with Christ, and the very apostolic work of Opus Dei, experienced reflections will be articulated and penned periodically for this web site.
